So you'll notice that this clip is two and a half minutes long. The mini timeline gives me access to the entire timeline with one click. So as I'm moving the big timeline, the mini timeline moves. Notice as I click and drag in the header area in the mini timeline, this timeline indicator also moves.
And if I click and drag in the ruler area on this lower timeline, I'm able to navigate through the timeline. If I click and drag a clip in the timeline, I'm moving that clip in the timeline. Notice if I click and drag in the gray space here this allows me to select, if I had multiple clips I could select multiple clips at once. So we're going to turn on our mute control here in the upper right hand corner, and we can click and drag at the header of this timeline here. And in fact, I'm going to go ahead and mute this. Now we haven't actually edited anything in here that we think we might want. So we're going to now pick a piece of B-Roll.
We're going to add additional footage into this timeline mostly for the purposes of showing you how tracks are laid out here on the cut page and the various sets of controls you can use for monitoring those tracks. In this movie, now things are going to start getting more interesting.
